If your dog loves the water then the pool at Canine Country Club of Arkansas is the perfect place to cool off and burn some energy.
The pool offers a beach entry for dogs that love to lay in the shallow end of the pool.
Safety is always a top priority and all dogs playing in the pool are continually monitored by our staff.
Our saltwater pool is 30’ long and 14’ wide and is 4 ½ feet deep. We use salt to naturally disinfect the pool water because chlorinated water can cause skin irritation after prolonged exposure. It can also irritate a dog's eyes and dull its coat.
Does your dog suffer from any chronic condition or is he recovering from surgery? Canine Country Club of Arkansas can help you. We offer supervised private swims in our inground saltwater swimming pool.
To give you a better idea here are some of the conditions that benefit from supervised swimming.
-Chronic degenerative radiculomyelopathy (CDRM) a degenerative disease of the spinal cord which causes hind limb problems
-Injuries to ligaments
We have been offering our supervised swimming service for over 7 years. There are numerous benefits and below are just a few.
-Alternate or complement to weight-bearing exercise and medication
-Speed up recovery after surgery (Often the only form of exercise allowed during the first few weeks of post-op recovery.)
-Slow the process of degenerative conditions
-Can serve as pre-operative fitness regime
-Allows exercise with minimal discomfort
What can you expect when your dog comes for a supervised private swim? First you will be greeted and escorted to the pool by one of our staff. Your dog will be fitted in a swimming vest and then attached to a lead. Your dog can voluntarily go into the pool or we will carefully place your dog in the pool. Then you will witness firsthand the benefits of swimming. Your dog can swim up to 30 minutes.
